LITRAK in collaboration with Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) and Touch n’ Go launched a program called “Jom Guna Touch n’ Go” at Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP), Petaling Jaya Selatan Toll Plaza Rest Area (North Bound) in Bandar Sunway on 14th July 2011.
Present as the guest of honour to officiate at the launch was Malaysian Highway Authority Director General, Dato’ Ir Hj. Ismail bin Md Salleh. The objective of this launching is to promote electronic payment and to offer convenience to the cash lane users. At the launching, approximately 200 pieces of Touch n’ Go cards were distributed for free to LDP users.
This launching is also in line with the Frequent Travelers Programme – FTP which was launched by LITRAK in January 2011. The offer will only require ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) users to perform 100 transactions (or equivalent to RM160 usage), compared to the previous one where users were required to perform 125 transactions (or currently equivalent to RM200 usage) to be rewarded the same 20% reload value.
Road users are also getting a combination of the existing 20% free reload value being offered by the Government and the 20% free reload being offered by LITRAK, LDP ETC users will now enjoy a total of 40% free reload. Therefore, the frequent ETC users of Class 1 Vehicle on LDP are only paying for 60% or 96 cents of the current toll fare on LDP which is RM1.60 (discount of 64 cents).
Present at the launch was LITRAK Group Chief Executive Officer, Sazally Saidi who further commented that road users should immediately grab the benefit of using Touch n’ Go card on LDP.
“Our main target is to consistently promoting the usage of ETC on LDP besides our commitment on providing a huge saving and easing the financial burden of the middle class wage earners’, he added.
