LITRAK Group Deepavali Charity Event

11 Nov 2010

True to the meaning of Deepavali which is bringing light, LITRAK group brought a ray of hope and happiness to some 20 children from a charity home in Petaling Jaya recently.

The charity programme is part of LITRAK Group’s annual commitment towards the needy. Charity programmes with various organizations are carried out by LITRAK for all major festivals.

Present at the home called Trinitiy Chidlren’s Home was LITRAK Group CEO Sazally Saidi and COO Richard Lim accompanied by the Heads of Department.

“We make it a point to have a meal with the underprivileged children for every festive as the true festive spirit lies in sharing the joy and this comes with being with there with them personally”, he said.

He added the group makes it a point to compile a list of not-so-popular charity homes that are often off the radar.

“The bigger and more prominent homes are often in the limelight and they get visitors quite frequently and so we go for the lesser known and forgotten ones. Every charity event is memorable for us for the smile we bring to the children”, he said.

The event was a modest one as Litrak Group does not believe on splurging. The lunch was a sumptuous meal of Indian food.

The children received angpow and goody bags and the home received a hamper of household food items.

Present at the event was Trinity Children’s Home chairman Joseph Clemons, who said the home is grateful to the LITRAK for their noble gesture. “More than the contribution and donation, it is the act of seeing so many people at the home that makes the children feel really important and wanted”, he said.
