10 Jan 2006

LITRAK and SPRINT donated two cows to be sacrificed at Kampung Sungai Penchala in conjunction with the Hari Raya Korban on Jan 10, 2006. This was the fourth time that the LITRAK Group had taken part in the Hari Raya Korban with the villagers there.

The cows were handed to the committee members of Masjid Jamek Tengku Abdul Aziz Shah, which altogether slaughtered 14 cows this year. LITRAK Group staff also took opportunity to join the villagers in distributing the meat to the poor and needy.

LITRAK Group Chief Executive Officer, En Sazally Saidi, said that the contribution is part of the group continuous efforts to keep good relationship with the community, which has been very supportive during the construction of the Penchala Link.

“More importantly, this is part of religious requirement¡ we are taking the opportunity to share with the villagers, especially the poor ones, as to make the Hari Raya Korban more meaningful,”said Sazally.

The 5.5km Penchala Link passes through the traditional Malay village of Sungai Penchala and cuts short the traveling time from new development areas such as Damansara Perdana, Mutiara Damansara, Bandar Utama, Taman Tun Dr Ismail to Kuala Lumpur..
