LITRAK Group, together with Perbadanan Putrajaya have successfully engaged 120 primary kids from 3 selected schools, from SK Taman Tun Dr Ismail (1), SK Puchong Utama (1) and SK Pusat Bandar Puchong (1) in an interactive fun-filled half day event on 16th June 2015 at DeCare circuit park, Putrajaya.

Kids were exposed with road safety elements, comprising of road signage exposure, safety helmets practice, and road safety rules. For instance, they have also been taught by JPJ officers involved yesterday on pedestrian safety tips for kids. There were also cycling and driving safety lesson through engaging activities using bicycles, mini Go-Kart and user-friendly electric cart buddy.


Highlight of the program held involved an inter-school competition between participating schools. The kids will have to act roles as pedestrian, car drivers and cyclist in order to fulfill their checklist mission. Summons were also issued to those who break the rules! SK Puchong Utama (1) was announced as winner for the day.

LITRAK Group’s Chief Executive Officer stressed the importance of having such program is vital, particularly in cultivating road safety awareness in young generation. He added, “Besides than providing first class level of service to our highway users, we aim to help by reducing accident rates. Awareness on road safety rules should be nurtured in early stages, especially primary kids as they are the leaders of tomorrow and continuation of our generation.”

Within the past years, through data collected, we identified that contributing factors commonly involves driver’s attitude on road, which includes reckless driving and lost control of vehicle.

Hampers and merchandisers from both LITRAK and Perbadanan Putrajaya were given out to the students as token of participation. For more information on the program held, please be in touch with the undersign person in charge.
