Shopping Spree – LITRAK Group

22 Aug 2011

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY is not just about spending money. It is more than that. It is also a feeling for the needy and the underprivileged.

Every year LITRAK Group has a team of staff who look out for needy charity homes for its CR programmes. Similar charity events were also done for other festival season such as Deepavali, Christmas and Chinese New Year.

The interesting fact about this event is that it has been conducted for 3 consecutive years for various orphanages especially in Klang Valley. Selected Home will be treated to a day of shopping for the Raya festival. This year, LITRAK Group has again organised a shopping spree for 30 orphans aged 4 to 15 years old of Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah from Puchong.

Sazally Saidi, Chief Executive Officer of LITRAK Group commented that this is part of LITRAK Group’s corporate social responsibility, which they do regularly. “We are always keen to spread the caring concept in this annual event. It is important for me not just as a CEO but as a person to have a heart first and I have always found contentment at being with them whenever we had events for charity,” he said.

Pusat Jagaan Baitul Hidayah is a non-profit organisation was set up in 2003 and is a privately run charity home under the observation of Yayasan Kebajikan & Perkhidmatan Perubatan Malaysia (Yayasan).
